Removal and aesthetic treatments of stretch marks
Stretch marks are a form of skin scarring provoked by a damage of the collagen fibers of the deep dermis following excessive and rapid stretching of the skin. They are usually due to weight variations, growth, pregnancy or skin stretching that happens on specific body areas.
Stretch marks are aesthetically unpleasing and appear as reddish streaks that become gradually white. The treatment of this issue depend on the stage of the streaks:
red phase: the skin is treated with hyaluronic acid and nutrient compounds micro-injections in order to stimulate skin regeneration;
white phase: the affected area is treated with fractional laser in order to reduce the fibrous tissue and make skin appear more uniform and tight.
